Assisted a colleague on an assignment for her DePaul University Masters degree, shooting a dialogue scene on a backstage set at DePaul's Richard M. & Maggie C. Daley building. Along with one of her classmates, who directed the scene, we were joined by two talented actors.
We started the morning with equipment pickup, including a couple JVC-700 cameras, boom mic audio kit, and lighting. Final stage setup and lighting is where the team decisions and creativity started to determine the look and feel of the scene. We spent a couple quick hours capturing the multiple sets of angles, before tearing down the walls, returning the equipment, and footage review. A successful shoot ending with a pleasant lunch on Michigan Avenue.
